Knitted Mesh Fabric
Knitted mesh fabric is a kind of wire mesh manufactured by a circular knitting machine. Metal wires are woven into stocking that stores interconnected wire loops. It can be made of a variety of materials, the main materials are galvanized wire, stainless steel wire, copper wire, brass wire, nickel wire, Monel wire and other alloy wires.
Knitted mesh fabrics are usually woven from round or flat metal wires of varying diameters. Round wire is the most commonly used type. In addition, the diameter of the metal wire affects the flow rate, dirt holding capacity and pressure drop. The fabric with larger wire diameters provides higher flow rates, but lower dirt holding capacity.
The wires of the knitted mesh fabric may be monofilament wires or multifilament wires. Monofilament knitted mesh fabric is a standard type, and multifilament knitted mesh fabric has high strength and is suitable for applications with high load pressure.
Applications
- Air and liquid separation and filtration in industries such as chemical, petroleum, environmental protection.
- Shielding net for EMI/RFI shielding.
- Demister to eliminate fog.
- Cleaning machines, or made into cleaning balls for kitchen cleaning.
