Knitted Wire Mesh Gaskets
Knitted wire mesh gaskets are universal gaskets used for EMI and RFI shielding. It is widely used in the shielding of magnetic field and electric field environment. The raw materials of knitted wire gaskets are mainly stainless steel, tinned copper clad steel wire, copper, Monel alloy, and aluminum, etc. The metal wire is knitted into a soft and solid wire mesh by a knitting machine.
Elastic core knitted wire gasket
The elastic core knitted wire mesh gasket is usually composed of a layer of knitted mesh covered on foam, rubber or elastomer core. It can allow restoration after compression. Knitted wire mesh gaskets can be manufactured into different cross-sectional shapes to suit different equipment. Conventional cross-sectional shapes are round, rectangular, round with tail, double round, etc.
Solid/Compressed knitted wire gasket
A solid knitted wire mesh gasket is an elastic gasket with high-density that is formed under pressure. It provides excellent shielding performance due to its higher metal density. It can shield the electromagnetic by sealing the gap between the equipment and the machine. Tinned copper mesh gaskets have better shielding performance than other materials. It is also the most widely used type. The compressed gaskets can be made into different shapes to suit various applications, such as round, square or rectangular. It is ideal for grounding applications.
